Leicestershire Fire and Rescue service introduce two new high rated performance generators to provide electrical backup in event of a total power failure at the Headquarters or any of its subsidiary premises including Fire Stations.
The high rated generators will have to be transported to the where ever they are required and may have to be positioned on a public road or highway.
As a result the trailer mounted generators have had to be fitted with the High visibility conspicuity graphics associated with all types of emergency service vehicles.
The graphics are made up from a product called Reflexite VC312 Daybright conspicuity Vinyl. Its recognised as being one of the top two reflectives in the world and is recommended by the Home Office and specified by many of the emergency services world wide from Singapore and Hong Kong to South Africa and many European emergency services including those here in the United kingdom.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue service has been a leading force in the development of conspicuity graphics for Emergency Services promoted mainly by the support of the senior officers, Health and Safety teams and the fleet management team led by Pat Deasy and Tim.

Fire Express Motorcyle

dscf2061-small.jpg
This cutting edge technology associated with fire fighting is about revolutionise fire fighting as its known today.
A British company, Emergency Technologies Ltd of Normanton in West Yorkshire in association with Fire Express and BMW have produced this motorcycle fire fighting machine to enable fire services to respond more quickly and efficiently using reduced resources.
The bike carries 50 litres of water infused with a foam compound agent in two tanks located one each side of the machine for balance. With the aid of a compressed C02 cylinder mounted behind the rider the delivery lance is capable of providing sufficient foam for two car fires to be extinguished in less than 90 seconds , this being demonstrated at the Emergency Services show at the Warwickshire County Showground recently, where is was observed and filmed by the media including Sky News, BBC and ITV.
Reflex Design International Ltd were contacted by the marketing agent for Europe and asked to design and produce a livery best suited to the machine to ensure maximum conspicuity and visual effect. We had no doubt in recommending Reflexite VC312 Daybright both fluorescent and non fluorescent prismatic reflective.
Two bikes were delivered direct from Fire Express a Danish Company to our workshops in Leicestershire and the work to provide suitable livery began. The shapes and contours on the bike proved to be difficult but with the expertise and experience of our design and fitting team we came with a mixture of vinyl’s to provide the visual and safety effects required working in conjunction with the Home Office  motorcycle livery recommendations.
The finished product can be seen on this page and I am sure you will agree that the visual effect created by the mainly Reflexite VC312 Daybright material certainly compliments its fire fighting performance of which I can testify is Amazing .
