Leicestershire Fire and Rescue service introduce two new high rated performance generators to provide electrical backup in event of a total power failure at the Headquarters or any of its subsidiary premises including Fire Stations.
The high rated generators will have to be transported to the where ever they are required and may have to be positioned on a public road or highway.
As a result the trailer mounted generators have had to be fitted with the High visibility conspicuity graphics associated with all types of emergency service vehicles.
The graphics are made up from a product called Reflexite VC312 Daybright conspicuity Vinyl. Its recognised as being one of the top two reflectives in the world and is recommended by the Home Office and specified by many of the emergency services world wide from Singapore and Hong Kong to South Africa and many European emergency services including those here in the United kingdom.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue service has been a leading force in the development of conspicuity graphics for Emergency Services promoted mainly by the support of the senior officers, Health and Safety teams and the fleet management team led by Pat Deasy and Tim.
Cobra Fire have commissioned a new VW van to be liveried similar to the fire service in order for it to travel round the UK and Europe demonstrating a new type of fire Fighting equipment carried inside.
Cobra’s MD was very pleased with the livery work stating it was a pleasure to see a quality job with perfect isometric fit around door handles and lighting clusters.
He stated he would recommend Reflex Design International Ltd for their design and fitting abilities and Reflexite VC312 daybright micro prismatic vinyl for its aesthetic appearance.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service add a further specialist vehicle to their fleet. This Scania is for the control of hazardous material and environmental protection.
It is a new vehicle built locally by Saunders and the conspicuity graphics were completed by Reflex Design International Ltd to the specifications demanded by the fleet department.
Reflexite VC312 Daybright was the choice of the service due its durability, reflective performance and its comprehensive warranty.
This is one of a number of specialist vehicles ordered, they already taken delivery of a health, safety and welfare vehicle for fire ground personnel support and are awaiting more vehicles like the Whale tanker for large capacity water supply and storage and a Dutch built hose laying tender, all of which should be in service by July this year.
